Haute Tattered Couture.

I am in an interesting crafting phase at the minute.  I say minute because in knowing me, you'd know that I could well be onto an all together different approach to papercrafting by the end of the day.  Yep, I can be just that all over the shop, which I secretly think is all part of the fun. Crafter's prerogative, right? But I do try and at least stay within my own sort of discombobulated style which is generally somewhat reminiscent of my ragtag crafting modus operandi that I so much enjoy.  I feel pretty confident that someone could pick out my musings in a lineup though.  Oh wait...that may not necessarily be a good thing.  *wink*

This card is rather distressed on the edges (read: trés tattered) and the background paper is actually crumpled which was a surprise artistic contribution from my cheeky 22 month old son, that I decided to run with despite its vastly altered and less than pristine state, as it worked with the overly torn edges of the card or so I thought at the time.  Plus, I had already inked up that bit of cardstock to within an inch of it's life and didn't fancy my chances of being able to recapture the same sort of attitude that that piece had if I did it all over again.  Not to mention the window on my available crafting time was rapidly starting to close and I knew there was every chance I wouldn't be able to get back to the papercrafting that I love until some time further down the track.  You know what that's all about now don't you?

So without further ado, let me introduce you to the unwittingly collaborative card that I have come to cherish:

Thanks so much for stopping by.  It's a real treat to be able to share my musings you.  x

What an interesting and inviting blog you have. Came here from a card you commented on yesterday on SCS (my card). Love your style and your 22 month old makes some fine contributions, too. LOL

Beautiful layered card, Jen. There's so many pretty elements - the dress form is stunning and the deep burgundy beaded circle die cut really creates a vintage feel.
