My Top Ten Crafty Creations of 2010.

I have been inspired, no end, by the great many fantastic cards I have seen whilst joyously strolling through the craftier coners of the blogosphere today.  Good Golly, are you folks talented!   Inspired so, I was, that I took a peek into my own 2010 papercraft creations and thought I too would share ten of my favorites from 2010.  It was fun to reminisce about my papercrafting journey over the year and the inspirations behind why I created them.  Some cards where criminally simple and a bit quirky (read: strange) and others had far more "bits" then they probably should have in order not to defy convention. While many were born out of the more recent holiday seasons so it would seem.  All that to say is, I had a marvelous year of crafting and I am totally chomping at the bit to get stuck in for 2011.  So, let's get this party started!

C'est Tout!  Thanks so much allowing me the opportunity to share my Top Ten (Okay, okay, I'm busted!) My Top Eleven!  ...And of course,  for stopping by.

A Little Birdie Told Me Too...

Thank you all for your lovely comments yesterday.  It was such a hoot seeing the comments and reading your fantastic, kind and supportive words of encouragement.  I actually got glimpses of "I can do this" sort of excitement after reading them.  Nice.  So big thanks again.

My next papercraft offering is a card I made during the very recent holiday card making extravaganza of late and wanted a weeny respite from the festivities to just hang out with the birds for a bit...as you do.  So this card is "as quick as" to make and totally fed my fowler, non-Christmas, but still crafty predilections.   Secretly, I am mad on birds these days so it would seem.  I have made more avian crafting purchases within the last few weeks I think than I have in all the years I have been crafting!  Weird.  So I guess you can look forward to lots more feathery posts to come.  I hope you're not allergic.

Wishing Myself Fair Winds and Following Seas. Why Knot?

No point in having a blog about papercraft without papercraft, right?  So here is a card I made a few months ago.  This card seems befitting to celebrate my maiden voyage as I set sail into the world of crafty blogs.

I loved the idea of doing a more masculine card so jumped at the chance to get a hold of Papertrey Ink's Out To Sea stamp set.  This is a CASE of Melissa Philips card she masterfully made a few years ago.  I had a lot of fun researching cool nautical knots to use on this card.  Here is my "bash" at a reef knot.

As it has been a while I can't recall all the finer points of this card like exact ink colors etc. but I'll take a punt nonetheless:

Stamps:  PTI Out To Sea
Paper:    Vintage Cream and Ocean Tides
Ink:  Brilliance Cloud White, Distress Ink in Antique Linen, Fired Brick, Momento London Fog, and Versacolor ? Tourquoise and ? Chateaux Gray (sorry).
Accessories:  Cuttlebug Nautical Stars and Swiss Dots Embossing Folders, Misc. Brad, Inksentials Crackle, Garden twine that has been braided and reef knotted *feeling clever to have learned a "real" knot*.

Thanks for stopping by!

Underway On My Maiden Voyage.

Whooohoooo! Needless to say I have NO idea what in the world I am doing, but I have set sail on my foray into the world of blogging about my beloved papercraft.  Wish me luck and feel free to send me your "Bon Voyage(s)" (or whatever the plural of this welcomed sentiment is) at your convenience.  I sure will need them and will doubly appreciate them, absolutely.
