My First Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge.

Judging from last week's day that went AWOL, I decided I was not going to get caught out again.  So today, I am posting my chosen week's worth of card entries for challenges closing this week.  I had hoped to enter the Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge last week too, but that card, although made early enough, didn't get posted.  *Sigh*  I still haven't figure out what happened there.  So this week, I am commited to getting them in, in time.

The challenge for this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge is to use a trio of the same or very similiar elements on a card and somewhat in-line.  There were so many takes on this challenge between the entrants and the WMS Sketch DT that I figured my three flutterbies might fit in okay. *fingers crossed* I hardly ever do shaped cards, boring I know, but I do want to make more, hence the following scalloped circle card was my concerted but still enjoyable effort.  Now to figure out what envelope to pair this baby with.  Not sure why it ended up being a Get Well card, but there you go.   I had fun.

Thank you so very much for stopping by.  Have a brilliant day!

Supplies:

  • Stamps:  Waltzingmouse Stamps Afternoon Tea Sentiments

And it's a beauty Jen!!! Love the gorgeous gold bow how fitting for a good old fashioned tea party!!!
*smile* Even if I hadn't read your profile I would have picked you for an Aussie crafter....Lindcraft gave you away :) It's such a shame we don't have the choice here, you would have had at home!!

This is such an elegant card Jen. I love that beautiful bow. The little butterflies were just the right touch and I think you were right to make it a get well card. Who doesn't want a nice cup of tea when they are feeing poorly? The doily was just icing on the cake.

Lovely soft card - those butterflies are gorgeous too. I don't make many shaped cards either - it's the dilemma about what to do with the envelope!

Those little wooden butterflies are so cute and really look great where you have positioned them over the sentiment. I`ve never made a shaped card - will have to try that soon!! A cup of tea right now sounds great!!
