Oh the shame! My wee blog neglected once again. Sigh. Just thought I better at least make an attempt to kick the New Year off with a bang instead of with a whimper (which is much like I ended the last). So, I have dusted off my crafting supplies and quasi-summoned some Dutch courage, took a deep breath and did more than stick a toe in to test the waters, but dove (well, more like belly flopped) right in.
My first card of the year is for The Play Date Cafe showcasing Champagne, Sky Blue, and Tangerine. As I am rather fond of this color challenge, I thought why not? Just grab the bull by the horns and off I went. Golly, I am going a bit hard (instead of going home, I guess) with the metaphors in this post. LOL Best to leave it there, I think (luckily, I hear you say). So without further ado, it's my pleasure to introduce you to my card for this inaugural 2013 challenge:
Thank you ever so much for stopping by. Here's to another brilliant year of thoroughly enjoying what we love...Papercrafting!

Beautiful, I didn't see that one. Well done
Beautifull card!!! Soft, tender and misterious.
Definitely not a belly flop, but a beautiful swan dive---love how you took the bold tangerine and made it romantic. This judge scores 10 out 10 for your 2013 inaugural dive.
Gorgeous, Jen! I love the note paper die in the background layer...such a lovely layout and unique colors!
Jen, this is gorgeous!! What a great way to start 2013 .... I love the note tucked in behind the cameo frame and the blue flower gives such a bright punch of colour. Wishing you lots of crafty days in 2013!!
Love the texture on this, looks like it should be framed.
Oh! This is just lovely! You nailed the color combo perfectly and I love the stamps and dies you used....I just recently got the Simply Jane set...thanks for the inspiration!
Beautiful first card of the year Jen...so vintage and romantic looking. Love the crackle on the cameo and the distressing really adds to the romantic feel of the card. Keep them coming...love your cards!
I think it a great way to go too. TFS the vintage and distressing add to the great look.
What a pretty card. I always know I can count on you to show me something vintagey, shabby, chic, and gorgeous. Those colors are just perfect for you.
Wow! Your card is absolutely stunning as usual. Love all the different textures and elements. The cameo has such detail to it.
