A Little Birdie Told Me Too...

Thank you all for your lovely comments yesterday.  It was such a hoot seeing the comments and reading your fantastic, kind and supportive words of encouragement.  I actually got glimpses of "I can do this" sort of excitement after reading them.  Nice.  So big thanks again.

My next papercraft offering is a card I made during the very recent holiday card making extravaganza of late and wanted a weeny respite from the festivities to just hang out with the birds for a bit...as you do.  So this card is "as quick as" to make and totally fed my fowler, non-Christmas, but still crafty predilections.   Secretly, I am mad on birds these days so it would seem.  I have made more avian crafting purchases within the last few weeks I think than I have in all the years I have been crafting!  Weird.  So I guess you can look forward to lots more feathery posts to come.  I hope you're not allergic.

Little Birdie Told Me Card:

  • Stamps: Papertrey Ink Birds of a Feather, Hero Arts Fabulous Flourish
  • Paper:  Basic Grey DSP (bird's body), Bazzil Kraft (wing), PTI Rustic Cream C/S (card base and wee tag), Misc. purple corrigated paper
  • Ink:  Memento Sweet Plum, Sprout and Rich Cocao, Distress Ink in Tea Dye, Dusty Concord and Antique Linen
  • Accessories:  Tim Holtz Birdcage Alterations Die, Basic Grey and Jasart (hearts) brads,  Tim Holtz Bricked embossing folder, Stripey green Groisgrain Ribbon (origins unknown), aubergine colored wax string, Vintage cream colored button with gold glitter, Distress Stickles in Bronze

Very cool, Jen! Welcome to blogland. I love knowing that others see my work but mainly I blog for me. It can be quite cathartic at times and it is a great way to share your creations without emailing everyone in your address book. Just share the blog with them and ask them to sign up to follow or bookmark it. Looking forward to seeing more from you.

Very pretty card today Jen. I have wondered how the Tim Holtz birdcage diecut would look on a card, and I was not disappointed. Your card has so many nice elements on it, so well thought through. You are really funny, too. I look forward to more.
