No point in having a blog about papercraft without papercraft, right? So here is a card I made a few months ago. This card seems befitting to celebrate my maiden voyage as I set sail into the world of crafty blogs.
I loved the idea of doing a more masculine card so jumped at the chance to get a hold of Papertrey Ink's Out To Sea stamp set. This is a CASE of Melissa Philips card she masterfully made a few years ago. I had a lot of fun researching cool nautical knots to use on this card. Here is my "bash" at a reef knot.
As it has been a while I can't recall all the finer points of this card like exact ink colors etc. but I'll take a punt nonetheless:
Stamps: PTI Out To Sea
Paper: Vintage Cream and Ocean Tides
Ink: Brilliance Cloud White, Distress Ink in Antique Linen, Fired Brick, Momento London Fog, and Versacolor ? Tourquoise and ? Chateaux Gray (sorry).
Accessories: Cuttlebug Nautical Stars and Swiss Dots Embossing Folders, Misc. Brad, Inksentials Crackle, Garden twine that has been braided and reef knotted *feeling clever to have learned a "real" knot*.
Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome to blogging! Your card, writing and blog are beautiful!!
Welcome to the Wonderful World of Blogging! You seem to be well on your way with your maiden voyage. Your card is wonderful and you get extra points for a super dooper looper knot! Your writing is fun and I'm looking forward to lots more inspiration.
Welcome to blogland! Your blog looks great
Super card! Love the embossed background and the nautical knot! Welcome to blog world! You are going to love it! Happy New Year too!
Jen, your blog looks wonderful. This card is a great masculine card. I have such a hard time with those. The only thing I expect when I read blogs is a glimpse into the individual person who created it. I love looking at the cards my PTI friends create. You don't have to be anything other than yourself. I look forward to seeing what you create (or have created). Good luck
Welcome to blogland and what a beautiful card to start with! And I'm very impressed that you braided that rope yourself. It looks awesome, as does your card. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!
How cool is this blog background, Jen! :) Love it! And welcome to Blogopolis! ;)
This is a great card and makes me want to check into buying that set for myself! ;) Love the knot!
