Be Yourself.

I initially wrote a Sad Sack post about how my particular "style" of crafting is this and that, spewing codswallop about not fitting in etc. etc.  Well, you'll be pleased to know that I deleted that "woe is me" post quick smart and gave it a moniker more a reminder to me than anything else to just be myself and know that that is okay.   In the inimitable words of the  Popeye The Sailor Man, "I Yam What I Yam."  And just as there was a place for Popeye, there is a place for me. Somewhere.   I also very much wanted to express my gratitude, via my card, to my fellow crafters that I appreciate so.

I decided to include this card into this week's CR84FN Color Challenge showcasing the colors Pink, Red, and Light Blue.  Lucky for me, it's a combination that I love and one I find harder not to use than use.  So this card came together rather quickly which was kind of neat and rather gratifying.

I also adore the label sentiment from Waltzingmouse stamps.  It's from the Rescue Remedies Additions set (surprise, surprise).  But most importantly, I just wanted to also say with this blog post that this main sentiment is such a lovely acknowledgment of those that are in our corner, that keep us going, that move and inspire us, and that make it all worthwhile.  Much like you fine and generous folk that by virtue of who you are, that take the time to come by my blog and say G'day, leaving such sweet comments that always make me smile.  So thank you, all of you.  I sure am proud to have you in my corner.

There you go being all modern vintage fab again, Jen...because that IS you to me! You make cards that are totally original and unique. I see your cards and think...now THAT's JEN! I would never think to combine elements like you do! Your cards always show your heart on your sleeve, I can see the love that went into making in each one. Oh how I love that sweet little fairy :) Beautiful floaty layers to match her!!

Gorgeous card. You have so many elements in the card that complement each other. You always have a way of pulling it all together. I agree with the other posters about reading your blog. Not only are you a talented artist with making cards/projects, but also one who paints lovely pictures with your words.

remember art and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I am jealous of your true artistic eye as I am much more of a plain jane structured crafter. You are always your worse critic. Do what you love and love what you do and others will enjoy it too I sure do!

Oh, this is stunning. I don't know how you create as you do. I am a pure simple gal, and always love to come visit with you to see what you've been up to. Never disappointing. I'm so glad we are doing our little mini blog hop together in a few weeks.

Jen, i have not read your deleted post (am glad you deleted it) but i can empathize with the feeling of "not fitting in." But when i watch "Glee" i feel a bit better hahaha! Kidding aside, you have a style of your own. I always look forward to your next creation, because i know i would be awesomely wowed by whatever it is. Jen, i love your projects! You've got a fan in me. And you've such a wonderful way with words that it's always a pleasure reading your posts and they make me smile. And thank you, thank you for leaving such sweet comments on my posts. You're wonderful!

If we all did the same thing there would be no fun in looking at other blogs! Your style isn't mine, and my style isn't yours; neither are like the next blogger down the line, but isn't that what makes this hobby FUN? Your cards are definitely FUN and I thank you for sharing :)

P.S. I must get those Rescue Remedies stamps, ack!

I love the card and cute fairy girl. I appreciate your style. It is nice to see different kinds of styles out there in blogland. That was something I struggled with in the beginning as well. I am glad that the colors worked so well for you. Thanks for playing at CR84FN. :)

Oh what a sweet little fairy Jen and look at her beautiful blue eyes! What a pretty vintagey shabby card.

ABSOLUTELY be yourself. I think we all struggle with trying to craft for others at times. But we aren't all the same. Your lovely work makes Jen Jen!! So keep em coming!!! ;)

If you ever visit through my blog you will SEE that I am an eclectic crafter and that is OK! Why or who said we had to have a style or be boxed into a category. Blah that! I am the first to admit I craft by my mood or what inspires me! That is it! Be who you are are!

Your card is beautiful and I love all the elements and the twine is so yummy and ties it all together.
